Artist notes: The idea of Frederick's Furcrest Orphanarium came to me whilst I was randomly sketching shapes. First, a small but uninteresting child appeared. Then, she put on a cardboard beak and some wings made from scavanged feathers. Add a few leather straps and an ol' timey pet store owner and Frederick Furcrest's animal orphanarium was born.
