Carbon capture device complete

It was finally finished! 27 billion dollars, 40,000 man-hours, 3 lives lost; but Professor Splunk had completed his master work and, no doubt, secured the Nobel Prize – A carbon capture device that could finally rival a tree. Charley wondered if she should say something but, instead, she just continued to plant her saplings, one-by-one.

Artist notes: As with many folks, I'm attempting to process the existential crisis powered by the systems and technology that's also blessed my life with privilege. Our culture seems obsessed with using the same shovel, to dig at the same hole, in the hope that some how, we won't go deeper.
