As the morning sun rose, the warm rays kissed their cheeks gently like a loving mother waking her children on a cold Christmas morning. This day was filled with promise. The sweet scent of the eucalypt & honey breeze meandered through their branches whilst the morning Magpies carolled a familiar tune. The wattle friends would have much to talk about today.

Artist notes: I've always been in awe of botanical artists. This was my attempt to combine botanical art with character design. I wasn't sure whether to use ink for the faces so I used pencil instead which gave a softer look. I think it suits botanical art a bit better.
